Parish Administrator
Trudy Bavolack has been employed by Emmanuel Church since June 2001, first as a part time Financial Coordinator, and now as a full-time Parish Administrator. She has an associate's degree (cum laude) in Business from J. Sargeant Reynolds as well as a B.S. in Business Administration and Management and an M.B.A., both from Virginia Commonwealth University. She lives in Goochland County on the family farm. She and her husband Danny have two daughters - Jessica, who lives in Northern Virginia with her husband Matt, and Maggie, who lives in Rockville. Trudy enjoys reading and working in her flower garden.

Administrative Assistant
Beth Atkinson is a long-time church member. She is a graduate of Hollins University with a degree in English and experience in such varied fields as IT, Loss Prevention and retail. Beth and her husband Luther live in an older house in the city that they are slowly redoing. .

Sexton
Jerome Johnson is a published author of his first book titled Nightman, and owns his own janitorial service.
Jerome has been the Sexton at Emmanuel Church for almost 20 years. He and his wife, Sharon, live in Sandston with their border collie, Nira.
Cemetery Manager - Carl Lotterer

Carl Lotterer was born and raised in the suburbs of Baltimore, MD and spent most of his life within five miles of where he was born. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church of Parkville, MD, and devoted his time to volunteer work and church committees, one of which was the Cemetery Committee. Carl and his wife Sheryl and moved to Glen Allen in 2009. He joined the staff of Emmanuel Church as Cemetery Manager in June 2011.

Music Director

Tom Bailey came to Emmanuel Church in November of 2012, returning to his native Richmond after serving churches in Northern Virginia, Brooklyn, and Long Island. A graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University, he studied several years in Vienna, Austria with the great Bach authority, Anton Heiller. His understanding of church music, liturgy, and theology was augmented with an MDiv. from Virginia Theological Seminary in Alexandria. At Emmanuel Church he directs the Adult Choir, Children's Treble Choir, and Handbell Choir, in addition to playing the 1992 Heissler mechanical action organ.
